Evaluation of Academic Administrators
I. POLICY AND GENERAL STATEMENT
In accordance with The University of Texas System Board of Regents' Rules and Regulations, Series 31101, Evaluation of Administrators, The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston ("university") evaluates academic administrators every six years. This evaluation is in addition to the annual performance review required for all university employees.
Academic Administrator: the Executive Vice President for Academic and Research Affairs, deans, department chairs, and the academic administrative equivalents to these positions that carry a different title.
Deans are reviewed in accordance with the processes outlined in the "Process for Periodic Reviews of Deans."
Department chairs and academic administrative equivalents are reviewed in accordance with the review process set forth by the academic unit in which they hold appointment. Faculty shall be provided an opportunity for input into these reviews.
