UTHealth commencement ceremonies feature renowned health professionals, begin May 8

HOUSTON – (May 1, 2014) –  Distinguished health professionals will address students, faculty, staff and guests in the coming weeks when the six schools at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) hold 2014 commencement ceremonies, graduating nearly 1,000 students. Robert C. Robbins, M.D., president and CEO of the Texas Medical Center; and Raymond S. Greenberg, M.D., University of Texas System executive vice chancellor for Health Affairs, are among this year’s commencement speakers. Detailed information for each commencement ceremony is listed below:

UTHealth School of Biomedical Informatics
When: 4 p.m. Thursday, May 8
Where: Fayez S. Sarofim Research Building, Beth Robertson Auditorium, 1825 Pressler Street
Number of graduates: 15
Commencement speaker: Robert C. Robbins, M.D., president and CEO of the Texas Medical Center (TMC)  

UTHealth School of Nursing
When: 7 p.m. Friday, May 9
Where: Bayou City Event Center, 9401 Knight Road

Commencement speaker: Raymond S. Greenberg, M.D, Ph.D., University of Texas System executive vice chancellor for Health Affairs
